Jeffrey Benson
Being diagnosed with esophageal cancer in 2019 was the turning point in my photography journey. It was a wake-up call - utilize your talents! What had been an on-again, off-again hobby up to that point turned into a passion, consuming nearly all of my time, energy and thoughts.
I'm Jeffrey Benson, I use my photography as a soul cleansing exercise. Just me, the camera and the world through my eyes. No outside influences.
Born and raised in the Midwest, it didn't take too long to realize that I had nomadic blood in my veins - needing to be on the road - mostly back roads; and that has been the key to my life perspective and my photography. I currently reside in the Hill Country of Texas.
Most of my work is in landscapes, wildlife, sport action portraiture, and gas stations. Yes, gas stations....as one of the leading gas station photographers in the US - I turn boring, drab gas stations into works of art.
